What Koko Doko does

Koko Doko Japan provides travel-planning guidance, itinerary reviews, personalised Japan plans, digital travel guides, travel recommendations and Japan Travel Buddy Support.

We are not a travel agency, tour operator, booking agent, medical adviser, legal adviser, immigration adviser or emergency assistance service.

Our recommendations are there to help you make better-informed travel decisions. The final decisions about your trip are yours.

Japan Travel Buddy Support provides friendly, non-emergency travel help during agreed dates while you are in Japan. It may include help with train routes, signs, menus, hotel messages, luggage lockers, ticket machines, simple Japanese phrases and other everyday travel questions.

Travel Buddy is normally provided online by message. In-person support may occasionally be available in the Tokyo area where specifically agreed in advance, but it is not guaranteed.

Travel Buddy is not an emergency, medical, legal, security, professional interpreting or guaranteed instant-response service.

Bookings are your responsibility

Unless we specifically agree otherwise in writing, we do not make bookings on your behalf.

This includes flights, accommodation, trains, restaurants, attractions, activities, tickets, transport and travel insurance.

We may recommend places, routes, websites, booking windows or transport options, but you are responsible for checking the details and completing your own reservations.

We cannot guarantee availability, prices, reservations, ticket access or entry.

Japan changes

We do our best to provide useful and accurate information based on what is available when we create or review your plan.

But opening hours, prices, transport schedules, routes, booking systems, ticket rules, restaurant policies, events and attraction access can change.

Please check official websites, transport information, booking platforms and accommodation messages before relying on time-sensitive information.

Plans + guides are guidance

An itinerary, Itinerary Check, Golden Route Plan, digital guide or recommendation is intended to help with your planning. It is not a guarantee that your trip will happen exactly as described.

Travel can be affected by things such as:

• Weather and natural events
• Train delays, cancellations or closures
• Crowds and seasonal conditions
• Illness or changes to personal circumstances
• Booking availability
• Your own pace, energy and preferences

Digital guides are general resources and are not personalised to your individual circumstances unless we clearly say otherwise.

You remain responsible for your own bookings, travel documents, insurance, safety, belongings, health, spending and decisions while travelling.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Koko Doko Japan is not responsible for losses, costs, delays, missed bookings, cancellations, injuries, inconvenience or other problems resulting from events outside our control or from decisions made using our travel information or recommendations.
